Applications of Oxevision

Oxevision provides clinical teams with insights that can help them to intervene proactively and to plan care, so that they can deliver safer, higher quality and more efficient care.

Our partners have reported making a step change in many care outcomes.
Here are the most common:

Despite best efforts, assaults still occur in patient bedrooms and can cause harm to patients and staff alike.

Using location and activity based alerts, Oxevision can alert clinicians to potentially high-risk activity which may indicate a risk of assault, such as when there are multiple sources of activity suggesting multiple people are in a patient's bedroom, giving staff the opportunity to attend and support a patient.

Oxevision's Vital Signs module gives clinicians the ability to monitor a patient's physical health without entering their room. This enables staff to provide care in the least restrictive way and to de-escalate the situation.

Oxevision is designed to support existing clinical practice. It does not on its own guarantee patient safety or any improvement in clinical outcome.

“[A patient] had just fallen asleep and is very aggressive. It’s been really challenging nursing him. If his sleep is disturbed, he’ll be antagonised. We won’t wake him up using Oxevision.”
Paul McCann, Deputy Ward Manager
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust
“I think incidents of violence and aggression have reduced during the night time because we’re disturbing our patients less.”
Ann Teemal
Ward Manager, female acute ward, Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust
“We have patients who are very aggressive, we can monitor them [remotely] using Oxehealth so we’re not at risk of harm ourselves or aggravating the patient while continuing to check the patient is ok.”
