Oxehealth Shortlisted for TWO HSJ Patient Safety Awards
Oxehealth have been shortlisted for the Best HealthTech Solution for Patient Safety & the Improving Care for Older People Award!
We are incredibly excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for not one, but TWO HSJ Patient Safety Awards today!
The two categories we have been shortlisted for are the Best HealthTech Solution for Patient Safety & the Improving Care for Older People Award. This comes after we submitted our recent Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust white paper for the awards, which showcases our Digital Care Assistant and how it can benefit wards and staff by helping to improve patient safety - like reducing falls by 33% at night - as well as saving clinical hours and reducing the demand for A&E by 56%.
The HSJ Patient Safety Awards recognise, reward and thank the hard-working teams and individuals who, in these times of austerity, pay restraints and workforce shortages are having to work harder and under more pressure. It is a testament to the sector that the safety and care of patients is still the primary driver, and our NHS continues to be the global leader in safety. In that context, it’s important to showcase the successes of all those involved in patient safety.
Oxehealth gives clinicians, carers & custodians more time for hands on care where and when they are needed most. Oxehealth is an assistant for when you can't be there, paying attention to every room.
Oxehealth’s solutions can help staff prevent serious incidents, reduce the risk of falls, take spot check pulse rate & breathing rate measurements and understand patient behaviour better. Our software solutions use secure optical sensors to generate the alerts and reports clinicians, carers and custodians need, seamlessly slotted into their existing workflow. Oxehealth serves customers in mental health, police, prison, acute hospital, care home & homecare settings.
Oxehealth was the first joint spin-out of the University of Oxford’s Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. The company was founded by Professor Lionel Tarassenko, Head of Engineering at the University of Oxford, in 2012.
