Preview remote camera health monitoring in action: DHEZ debuts Oxecam for Hospitals

If you want to get a glimpse into the future of hospital care, we invite you to join Oxehealth at the Digital Health Enterprise Zone in Bradford this week.
Hot on the heels of IFSEC International, where we demonstrated how our Oxecam technology could revolutionise secure room care, we'll be showing how it can optimise hospital health monitoring too.
Oxehealth is the first company in the world to bring continuous, medical-grade contact-free vital sign monitoring using low-cost digital video camera sensors to market.
Why? We need to get healthcare out of hospitals
We cannot afford to care for our sick and elderly in the way we currently do. We need to get healthcare out of hospitals and into homes and beyond. We need vital care everywhere.
Our secure rooms technology is the first example of our camera technology delivering medical grade vital signs outside the hospital to care for mental health patients and police & prison detainees. Homes and cars will come next.
Meanwhile, our Digital Health in the Connected Hospital project is the largest camera health monitoring project conducted on hospital patients ever, monitoring 5 vital signs across 30 patients. It capitalises on Oxehealth's uniquely real world robust algorithms, and it is delivering the technology innovations required to move continuous vital sign monitoring out of intensive care and into every ward and bedroom in every hospital.

Oxecam Hospital delivers medical grade vital signs in real world environments: its completely contact-free, continuous and clinically validated vital sign monitoring capability could dramatically improve the care delivered to patients as they leave intensive care:
– Low cost: Oxecam uses normal digital video cameras and will bring the cost of a monitoring unit down
– Hygienic and unobtrusive: contact free technology that works right across a room so no cleaning between patients and the possibility for them to move around freely, building strength and speeding rehabilitation
– Intelligent behavior analysis: we will be able to detect patient out of bed or their chair, falls or unusual behavior patterns to alert nurses before accidents happen
– Continuous and proactive: immediately alert to deteriorations in health that may not otherwise be picked up until too late. Too often, the critical condition of vulnerable patients overnight remains undetected until the following morning, resulting in tragedies the Oxecam could easily help to avoid.
– Private and Confidential: Our algorithms do not need the video image – they analyse the signals on the camera sensor and "throw away" the video image within miliseconds – so no one need ever see footage of patients.
The Digital Health Enterprise Zone: a promising community
The Digital Health Enterprise Zone is a promising new development that aims to bring together academia and business to help foster relationships between SME solution providers and the NHS. At Oxehealth, we're delighted to be supporting the initiative, which hopes to help "create the future of care". There's little doubt that the Leeds and Bradford area is something of a 'Northern Powerhouse', at the forefront of digital health innovations, and several exciting trials have already been undertaken with the NHS in the area. It's a community we're delighted to be a part of. We'd like to support the work of Tech North.
Come see Oxecam Hospital in action
As the Enterprise Zone launches this week, Oxehealth's world-first, vital sign monitoring camera technology will be exhibited on site to show the huge possibilities that exist in the field.
Innovations like the Oxecam could be instrumental in supporting our stretched NHS, and it's encouraging to see forward-thinking organisations like the Digital Health Enterprise zone working with businesses like ours to address the very real issues facing healthcare providers. Join us to learn more about how the Oxecam works, and how we are working to deliver vital care everywhere.
