There's no 'I' in team work
Following our investment from IP Group Simon Graindorge, Experienced Life Science Investor, shares why Oxehealth caught his eye. In this second instalment – of a five part blog series – Simon discusses our attributes and what other start-ups need to be successful.
In his first instalment Simon discussed the beating heart of a start-up, so following on from this the next key step is...
Vital sign 2. Blood pressure A great team
You have a beating heart, now you need to get all that blood into the right places. Every single day, no matter what you're doing, or how you're feeling, you need a great team to deliver that technology. A team with credibility, that has been there and done it before, can see the opportunities and understands what needs to be done to make it happen, can deal with scaling a business, can build great teams, can think through the right strategy and can provide leadership and drive.
I could go on and on, but at IP Group we know from experience that getting great business people in at these early stages can make all the difference.
IP Group helped Oxehealth build its management team and the company has also won the support of Warren East, the former CEO of ARM and board member of Rolls Royce, De La Rue, Dyson and BT, who sits on the Oxehealth Advisory Board.
