So much more than just a rounding tool…
Safety checks are necessary within inpatient behavioral health settings to ensure patients are safe and well. However, these often disrupt patients’ sleep and privacy, are time consuming and prone to human error and non-compliance.

Oxevision Observations is the only system that provides therapeutically valuable observations and contact-free vital sign measurements1 that do not disturb patients’ sleep

Contact-free pulse and breathing (chest wall movements) rate measurements - an FDA cleared medical device1
Time-limited vision into the room to ensure the patient is safe and vitals are taken of the correct patient
No disturbance to patient sleep
Time stamped observations and compliance auditing
Enables staff to record engagement and observation notes alongside interventions
Supports staff to deliver more therapeutic care interactions, on time
Improves efficiency by reducing time to complete Q15s
HIPAA compliant
Oxevision Observations can be accessed 24/7 via portable devices or a fixed screen in the nursing station, just like the other Oxevision modules. When patients are in their rooms at night, staff can carry out their safety checks remotely - instead of going into patients' rooms and disturbing them.

Intuitive workflow reduces the time it takes for staff to complete observation rounds

Compatible with all EHR providers;2 there’s no need to scan, print or upload paper records as observation data can integrate into your EHR
“The system helps a lot with our own stress and anxiety, especially with measuring the [patients'] breathing and pulse rate.”
Registered Nurse
“I've been in the behavioral health system for a total of seven years, since I was 18. Before, the staff would come in all the time during the night, use flashlights, and wake you up. It was very stressful, especially when on medication. Now (with Oxevision), they don’t disturb sleep as much. I think the system is great for that.”

Observation compliance reports

Monitor, improve and validate observation compliance within your facility with our suite of compliance reports.

Our on-unit compliance reports provide real-time monitoring, effectively supporting clinical teams and unit managers to promote observation compliance.

Senior managers and quality teams are further supported with a range of facility compliance reports. These allow them to monitor a facility’s overall observation compliance, quickly identify non-compliant units and shifts, and spot trends in performance over time.

Real-time Compliance Reporting

Providing real-time monitoring, effectively supporting clinical teams and unit managers to promote observation compliance:
  • Real-time reporting
  • Assists staff on the unit to take timely observations
  • Each patient's Observation History record provides visibility as to who has performed observations alongside an audit of changes to care plan items, such as observation/precaution levels and room assignment changes
  • Accessible to unit staff on fixed screen and tablet devices
  • Helps to establish a positive culture of safety in the facility.

Facility Compliance Reporting

Supporting senior managers to monitor a facility’s overall observation compliance and performance trends:
  • Weekly facility-wide reports help to quickly identify non-compliant units and trends across the facility
  • Delve further with comparative and individual unit reports to monitor daily compliance levels across multiple units and shifts to help determine non-compliant shift and/or unit patterns that require attention.

1 The Vital Signs software is cleared by the FDA as a Class II medical device in the US. It is intended for non-invasive spot measurement of pulse rate and estimated breathing rate (chest wall movements) when the subject is still. It is software assessing video footage from a fixed-installation solution for use within hospitals, general care and secured environments with professional healthcare oversight and where a framework exists which mandate periodic checks by a trained professional to ensure subject safety. The Oxehealth system is intended for use by appropriately trained staff with a duty of care, and should not be used by untrained users. The Oxehealth Vital Signs device is indicated for use on humans 18 years of age or older who do not require critical care or continuous monitoring. The device is not intended to be the sole method of checking the physical health of a subject. Federal law (U.S.) restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a licensed healthcare practitioner.
