Oxehealth & Partners Shortlisted for TWO 2020 HSJ Awards

Oxehealth, along with our partners at Oxford Health NHS FT and South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for Mental Health Innovation of the Year (Oxford Health), and the Patient Safety Award (SLaM) at the 2020 HSJ Awards, recognising both trusts outstanding contribution to healthcare.

To have been shortlisted twice despite the tough competition from over 1000 entries is fantastic; we submitted our case study "A good night's sleep" with Oxford Health for Mental Health Innovation of the Year, and "Improving safety in seclusion with non contact technology" with SLaM for the Patient Safety Award. The submissions were selected based on the ambition, visionary spirit and the demonstrable positive impact that the project has had on patient and staff experiences within the health care sector.

The judging panel is made up of a diverse range of highly influential and respected figures within the healthcare community including: Sir Bruce Keogh, Chair, Birmingham Women’s and Children’s FT, Mark Axcell, Chief Executive, Black Country Healthcare FT and Caroline Beardall, Director of Workforce and OD, NHS England and NHS Improvement – South East.

Now in its 40th year, the HSJ Awards is the largest annual benchmarking and recognition programme for healthcare. Through a rigorous, fair and transparent judging process the awards produce a roll call of the best organisations, teams and people in the NHS and the wider health sector.
