Oxehealth reaches final of TechCrunch Startup Battlefield - London 2016

Oxehealth CEO, Hugh Lloyd-Jukes, demonstrates Oxecam technology live at TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield.

On 6th December, Oxehealth was one of five finalists competing for the TechCrunch Disrupt Cup and a prize of £40,000 at the Startup Battlefield finals, having been shortlisted from over 500 entries and successfully making it through the preliminary round.
Oxehealth CEO, Hugh Lloyd-Jukes, demonstrated live how Oxecam SaaS software solution transforms standard digital video cameras into human activity and vital signs monitors with medical grade accuracy.
'You're showing us this magic, which is quite magical actually and wonderful' – Sean O'Sullivan, SOSV.
During his pitch, Hugh spoke about how Oxecam technology can support nurses to deliver the best clinical care for patients. Providing extended data on patients' health and human activity, Oxecam can support clinicians and carers by monitoring patients and those in custody between scheduled checks.
'We also badly need to step people down from expensive hospitals to cheaper locations, like nursing, care homes and our own homes,' said Hugh. 'We believe that video cameras, empowered by Oxecam software, are the ideal platform: activity, vital signs and video context all in one place.
The ambition for Oxehealth is to empower clinicians, carers and staff to save lives and improve healthcare for everyone by delivering these solutions into every care setting. The road map to doing this includes working with our partners in mental health, police, acute hospitals and assisted living to deploy our Video Analytics solution and work with Clinical Collaborators to continue clinical trials of Medical Analytics technology.
