Oxehealth receives warm reception at SKYDD 2016

Oxehealth received a warm reception in the Scandinavian region after exhibiting the Oxecam at SKYDD 2016 in Malmasson, Stockholm. The event, often described as the IFSEC of the Nordics, was a three day trade fair for Personal Safety, Security and Fire & Rescue technologies, taking place between the 24th and 26th October.
Exhibiting alongside valued partners Hanwha Techwin, and collaborating with Elektronix, Oxehealth demonstrated its contact free health monitoring technology, attracting strong interest from a large number of companies drawn from across the region.
In a region that continues to drive forward the use of technological innovation to solve social care problems, it was fantastic to experience such enthusiasm for the Oxecam. Leading local providers recognised that this is truly revolutionary technology that can deliver safer custody for detainees and patients in mental health hospitals.
"The technology uses the same systems we already use but can pick out heart rate and breathing rate, it is incredible! I have never seen CCTV being used this way before," said a Police Security Systems Integrator attendee. "I am excited to speak to my clients about it."
"SKYDD was a great opportunity to speak to dozens of people about the potential for Oxecam in secure rooms. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm for Oxecam as a technology that is not only truly innovative but can help carers to address a real social need." said Oxehealth's Solutions Lead, Sarah Surrall.
Beyond secure rooms, the Scandinavian region continues to innovate to tackle growing challenges to deliver methods of care that will support an aging population and tackle the issue of decreasing healthcare resources.
"It is clear that there are a number of innovative assisted living and home healthcare projects underway in the region." Said Sarah Surrall. "The potential for Oxecam to support the delivery of this solutions was clearly evident."
SKYDD was a great opportunity for Oxehealth to exhibit the Oxecam in another enthusiastic market, and to learn about the challenges that innovative providers face in helping clinicians and security professionals care for detainees and patients across Europe.
A big thank you to our partners Hanwha Techwin and collaborators Elektronix for hosting us at the event.
