Oxehealth, the non-contact vital signs technology company open office on Oxford Science Park

Oxehealth Ltd, spun out from the University of Oxford's Institute of Biomedical Engineering, opened its office on Wednesday 18th September 2013 on the Oxford Science Park. The company delivers vital sign software solutions which work in the real world and utilise innovative, clinically validated algorithms. Its patented Oxecam technology developed in the labs of world-leading scientist Professor Lionel Tarassenko and backed by IP Group plc enables a digital camera, tablet or phone to monitor the vital signs of an individual, without the need for any physical contact or expensive proprietary equipment.

The company recently announced its appointment of Allan Wood as Chairman. Allan's role will be to form key partnerships within both technology and healthcare organisations, as well as work with the investor community to rapidly expand the business into new areas. "We are delighted to have our office on the Oxford Science Park in close situ to other start-ups, we feel part of a community and are encouraging each other to grow; its Oxford's answer to London's Tech City," commented Allan Wood, Chairman at Oxehealth.

Oxehealth invited key partners and investors to the office opening, including representatives from IP Group plc and the Wellcome Trust. "We are looking forward to the development of the company and are pleased to have been present at such a milestone in its future. We hope to be present for many more celebrations," said Simon Graindorge, Business Development Director at IP Group plc.
