Remote vital signs monitoring receives very warm reception at NAPICU 2016

Oxehealth attended the National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care & low secure Units (NAPICU) annual conference on the 8th September.
The 21st appearance of the conference, this year's theme was particularly relevant to our mission, supporting psychiatric mental health professionals' care for their patients: "How do we enhance quality of care and ensure patient safety and wellbeing in a time of growing financial pressures and high level national change?"
The conference explored the theme with a series of very well attended sessions on a well-judged selection of topics. Most interesting for us, however, was delegates' strong appetite to adopt new innovations and their clear excitement for the Oxecam technology. One delegate typified the reaction to our technology:
"I've seen it, I love it, I want it"
We shared details of our successful trials at Broadmoor Psychiatric Hospital and delegates admired some of the core benefits of the Oxecam software, which turns cameras into health monitors, in particular the ability to:

Monitor patient safety and alert staff to react quickly to risks, though our Video Analytics solution.
Track heart rate and breathing rate trends (for example post tranquilisation) using our Medical Analytics solution.
Adapt the technology to different secure room environments depending on patient and staff needs.
